"They're fish. Maybe not actual fish, but aquatic certainly. When they leave the water - like to go and colonise other wolds working with the expanding Human Empire - then they have to wear special masks and breathe oxygenated liquid. Makes it quite tricky to communicate with them as everything sounds sort of bubbly."
